TYEO-2 Two-Axis Four-Gimbal Electro-Optical Pod

The TYE0-2 electro-optical pod is mainly applied to moving platforms such as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to fulfill functions like day-and-night target search, observation and tracking. Adopting a two-axis four-gimbal spherical structure made of all-metal materials, it meets the high reliability requirements for operation in harsh environments. The four-gimbal configuration enables high-precision image stabilization and satisfies the system's needs for stable tracking at a certain large pitch angle or during over-the-top operations. Equipped with a 30x continuous zoom visible light camera, an uncooled infrared thermal imager and an eye-safe laser rangefinder, it can achieve long-distance observation and ranging both day and night. With external inertial navigation information, it can realize functions such as target geo-location and target geo-guidance. High-precision image stabilization is achieved via an inertial unit, outputting stable and clear long-range video. The video processing unit incorporates advanced image processing algorithms, supporting functions including automatic recognition, tracking, compression encoding, storage, video character overlay and picture-in-picture.
